15-Minute Honey Pecan Pork Chops

Dinner in fifteen minutes sounds pretty darn good, right? What if it happens to be beautifully tender pork chops that are coated in an irresistible sweet honey and pecan glaze? Well, that sounds pretty ideal. And these pork chops sure are. Quick and easy to make, but utterly delicious, they’re perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions alike.

We coat our pork chops with a little dusting of flour, just to make sure they take on a nice crust as they sear. They go into the pan briefly, just a few minutes per side, and sizzle in some melted butter until they’re good and brown.

All that’s left to do is make the glaze, which takes all of two minutes. Chicken broth, honey, pecans, Worcestershire sauce, and chili flake go in and simmer together into a slightly sticky sweet and savory thing of beauty.

The glaze is nutty and a little sweet, but the chicken broth keeps it from feeling too heavy while the chili flake adds just the tiniest kick to contrast the honey. It’s worthy of eating all by itself off a spoon.

All that’s left to do is add the pork chops back to the pan, where you spoon the sauce over them and let it cling to every surface. It’s the kind of thing that you can make at a moment’s notice, yet it feels so much more special. With the perfect sweet and savory balance, these pork chops go well beyond the basic chicken breast you might throw together for a last-minute dinner, but they don’t take any more time or trouble.
