For meat, simply place it in a ziploc bag and submerge the entire apparatus in cold water. From there, wait for all of the air to leave the bag. This allows you to successfully stash your leftover meats and keeps them from exposure to the unwanted freezer burn.

Strawberries are a delicious fruit and we love to buy some every time we go to the store. There is just one problem that we cannot get past: they seem to get moldy so quickly! In order to keep your strawberries out of harm’s way, dip them into a mixture of water and apple cider vinegar. Don’t keep them in for too long, though. They should be good to go within a few seconds.

Cookies are a great addition to any kitchen but what happens when they start to go bad? No one likes to throw their cookies away. To keep them safe, start by placing them in a container that is airtight. Before you fasten that lock, lay a slice of plain white bread over your cookies. The bread works to soak up all of the excess moisture, ensuring a much tastier cookie over the short term and long haul.
